Shooting in Montana

can have it's consequences!

Just a few weeks ago, I was shooting with Bethany and Jeff on the Cottonwood Ranch owned by the folks at Baxter Hotel. It's a gorgeous ranch which always makes a scenic background for photos... but!!! shooting in nature can have it's consequences. Beth and Jeff have two great hunting dogs. We were shooting on this hill top with brush below, and when the dogs disappeared, Jeff commented "I hope they don't get into any porcupines. "Yikes!" I thought to myself.



Five minutes later the dogs came running out of the trees with bloody mouths full of quills. OUCH! All of us, including my assistant Julia spent the next 15 minutes pulling quills out of the doggies mouths, noses and lips. What a wild experience.







Soon the dogs were all happy again and running around madly as usual. Bethany and Jeff are marrying June 13th. Enjoy these fun and beautiful Montana style engagement photos.
