It's been a very white Christmas here in Montana with lots of snow and sub zero temperatures at times. Now the sun is shining and the mercury has risen a bit. Snowy engagement photos

Larissa and Brian

Larissa and Brian just blew in from Sacramento and we took a winter walk engagement session. We only had about 15 minutes but it's amazing what you can do with a limited amount of time and 15 degrees!

The couple booked me long distance and this was the first time we got to meet and talk about the wedding. They are getting married this June in Big Sky. What a great couple! I'm looking forward to a beautiful June wedding day in the mountains.

Blubird Images

Expanding our wedding photography services

Ok, so... here it is. Blubird Images is released and ready to go. Lauren Brown and I have put together a new business and website representing two brilliant young wedding photographers and a third one is one the way.

There are only so many weddings Lauren and I can handle in one season and we've continually had to send couples elsewhere when we were busy. For some time now, we've had an understudy relationship with these ladies and we've trained them well. Each has there own individual style and personality which you will see when you visit the new site.

We are thrilled to introduce Meggan Carrigg Davidson, Jennie Lynn Stanley and Kyra Ames. This addition allows us to offer exquisite wedding photography to fit a wider range of budgets. All of us will be at the Ever After Bridal Show at the Woodlands on January 11th. Please come and meet the crew.

Photo shoot gone "right"

Benefis Hospital in Great Falls

Just got back from Great Falls tonight. I was shooting ads for the Benefis Hospital in Great Falls for the last four days. How lucky am I to have Lauren Brown helping me with this project for the creation of a new ad campaign for Benefis. We had a great time working with the art director from Hughes Agency in St. Louis.

If anyone thinks romance recedes at middle age... check out this real life couple that were our models one early morning shoot. Cheers to Jo and Bill of Great Falls. LOVE is timeless!

The next challenge was a four year old that was supposed to be the patient for two experienced RN's. As it turned out, Dante took the helm, and they became the patients!!! Lauren even got her ears examined. I'm thinking that the ad agency will take the new ad in a completely different direction when they see the images. Enjoy!

It's no secret that Lauren Brown's beautiful wedding photos have swept into wedding magazines around the Country and she's quickly becoming known around the region as "THE" Wedding Photographer in these parts. Lauren and I have worked together since she was in college and now we share a studio here in Bozeman. And the news is... very soon we'll be setting the Blubirds free! More on that as soon as our new photography adventure is complete and ready for release.

Hey did you notice that I have a new feature on my website. This summer I hired a talented friend of mine, Royce Gorsuch to make a couple videos of me doing the thing I love to do most.... photograph people!!!

New Photo Guest books

Montana February Wedding

Many of my new clients are choosing a guest book designed from their engagement photos. These are layed out with plenty of white space for guests to sign on the wedding day. They are hard bound with nice thick pages and a great photo cover.

Last spring DeeDee, Scott and their two dogs joined me in Paradise Valley along the banks of the Yellowstone River . We had a great time and the photos will forever remind them of sprintime in the Rockies in 2008. Now their February wedding date fast approaches. I'm sure we'll be out shooting in the snow, capturing another season of beauty here in Montana.
